This small and charming resort is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Krabi. The view of the numerous small islands just as the sun is setting is idyllic.
If you are visiting Krabi this is the place to stay right by the water’s edge with magnificent views.
Staff is friendly and willing to ensure that the guests have a pleasant stay.
The food and service is excellent, no need to dine out

This is a real get away from it all place whether you want to explore the area by car, kayak, bike or running (great trails nearby).
Just a bit muddy to get out in the kayak, but the views more than compensated.
After being out and about, there is nothing nicer than to relax in the private pool, on the deck or under the sala roof with a cold drink and just stare out at that wonderful view.
We had meals made in the restaurant and served in our villa. All excellent except the massaman potatoes in one dish (out of a total of 10 dishes) were a bit undercooked and the breakfast pancakes were not properly cooked in the middle.
The sunsets are particularly impressive.
Looking forward to visiting again. We felt very well looked after.

Very helpful owner gave us useful information on things to do in the neighborhoods, and have it organized for us.
Location: quiet, beautiful view, very close Pang Nga Bay, rate 9 because no there is no beach
Staff: friendly, but a bit inexperienced as the resort just opened
Property: brand new houses, great for families, private pool
The Menu is huge, even if you stay long you won’t get bored with food. Very good Thai cooking and some European dishes.

We have a private white sandy beach on the island just in front of the villa; only 10 minutes with our free long tailed boat shuttle.
There are also many islands in the bay, in front of the villa, with unspoiled beaches which can easily be reached by long-tailed boat.
They are also fantastic places for swimming and snorkeling in Koh Hong Island and Chicken Island, about 30 minutes by long tail boat from the villa.

A typical house

These outstanding villas have been designed in modern Thai “Ayuthaya” style, the historical capital city of Siam Kingdom.  Each villa is fully equipped and furnished with modern furniture in teak wood, made by order in Chiang Mai, the northern capital. The villa is very comfortable, even for long stay.
The villas stand a few meters from the sea, on a 5 500 m2  plot of land, with large garden.

The first 20 meters, along the shore is communal space for all the village’s residents.Indoor and outdoor areas blend to create a spacious, light and airy ambience. Large areas of glass afford the full impact of the spectacular view as well as opening the living areas to the environment. The sala is a traditional Thai garden shelter, built in the same style as the villa, with two large teak benches where you can relax, watch the beautiful sunsets and take meals on a solid teak table that can be folded into a narrow bench between meals.

Understand

Krabi Province is on the west coast of Southern Thailand, and shares borders with Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Phang Nga Province, Satun Province and Surat Thani Province, as well as the Andaman Sea.

Krabi, a coastal province, abounds with countless natural attractions that never fail to impress tourists. Such attractions include white sandy beaches, crystal clear water, fascinating coral reefs, caves and waterfalls, as well as, numerous islands.

The distinguishing feature of both Krabi and neighboring Phang Nga is the massive limestone karsts, rising vertiginously out of the flat rice paddies on land and as islands from the sea. Add in some gorgeous beaches and excellent scuba diving and rock climbing, and it’s little wonder that tourism in the area has been booming.

While less commercialized than neighboring Phuket, Krabi Province cannot be described as undiscovered: it receives two million visitors a year, and the major tourist areas cater extensively for foreigners.

History

From archaeological discoveries, it is believed that Krabi was one of the oldest communities in Thailand dating back to the prehistoric period. It is believed that this town may have taken its name after the meaning of Krabi, which means sword. This may have stemmed from a legend that an ancient sword was unearthed prior to the city’s founding.

You can get around on English alone in the more touristic areas, although a few words of Thai will come in handy off the beaten track and will be much appreciated anywhere.

Geography

Bordering the Andaman Sea, Krabi is located 814 kilometers south of Bangkok and covers an area of 4,708 square kilometers. Its mountainous physical geography is broken by highlands and plains, covering more than 130 large and small islands, and abounding with mangrove forests. The Krabi River flows 5 kilometers through the town and into the Andaman Sea at Tambon Pak Nam. There are also klongs (canals) such as Klong Pakasai, Klong Krabi Yai, and Klong Krabi Noi, which all originate from Krabi’s highest mountain Mount Phanom Bencha.
